What people typically worry about

Big projects often promise jobs, and the fair question is how many are real, how many are permanent versus temporary, and how many actually go to local workers rather than out-of-area crews.

Combined figures are derived from separate applicant projections for the data center, solar and gas components. They are not realized employment or tax receipts.

What the public record says

The developer's filings project up to about 1,000 workers at construction peak and roughly 200 long-term operational jobs at the data center, with on the order of 215–230 total permanent positions across all three related permits. The filings also reference local spending in the range of 20–30% of the roughly $10 billion project cost. These are the applicant's projections, not independent economic analysis — an important distinction. How many roles are filled locally, what they pay, and what hiring or training commitments accompany them are the open questions the figures themselves don't answer.
