  1. Applications submitted

    County materials say land-use applications for the data center and the related Wells Draw Energy and reWater permits were submitted and deemed complete.

  2. Public notices published

    Public hearing notices for the Nine Mile Data conditional-use permit were published in the Uintah Basin Standard on March 18 and 25, ahead of the April 2 Planning Commission hearing.

  3. CUPs approved

    At its April 2 hearing the Duchesne County Planning Commission considered and granted conditional-use permits for the data center and the adjacent solar (reWater) and natural-gas (Wells Draw Energy) plants.

  4. Appeals denied

    Resident appeals of the approvals were heard by the County Commission and denied, one for lack of standing. The county permits stand; Basin Now reported the denials on April 28.

  5. Construction begins

    The project narrative says Elio Energy plans to begin construction in 2027 — contingent on final approvals and permits.

  6. Build complete · operational

    The narrative targets operation before 2030, around 2029; the filings show some timing inconsistencies.

  7. Facility lifespan

    The narrative describes a facility life of at least 50 years from the start of operation.
